This recipe isn’t for your puppy, but then end result sure looks like it is.  It’s a tasty snack that you can make with Chex, peanut butter, and chocolate.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cookware Needed: Microwave safe bowl, spoon/spatula, brown paper bag, wax paper

Servings: 4 cups

4 cups of Chex (corn, rice, and wheat)
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tbs butter or margarine
1/8 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup powdered sugar

Pour cereal into large brown paper bag.

Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter/margarine in 1 quart microwave safe bowl.  Microwave chocolate and peanut butter mix on high 1 minute or until melted.

Stir in vanilla.

Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly covered.

Put mixture in clean, large paper bag.  Sprinkle powdered sugar over mixture.  Close bag and shake until cereal is evenly coated in powdered sugar.

Spread on waxed paper to cool and set.  Store in a plastic or airtight container.
