Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

This month we’re baking oatmeal raisin cookies that you can make out home! Just like our first recipe, the ingredients are listed out so you can check each one off as you add to the bowl. Later recipes will look more like the ones you’ve seen in cookbooks.

Preheat oven to 375
Yields 12 cookies

Step #1
Mix well after adding each ingredient

1/4 cup oil OR 4 Tbsp. margarine/butter
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. egg beaters
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Step #2
In a second bowl, combine and mix the following ingredients

1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp flour
3/4 cup oats
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins (or chocolate chips)

Step #3
Combine the two bowls (the flour mixture and the sugar mixture) and mix well. Drop 12 equal size cookies on parchment paper lined cookie sheet or an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Let rest on cookie sheet 1 minute. Remove from cookies sheet to cooling rack. Let cool for X minutes and then enjoy!
